ABOUT US
History
The Cumnock Village Preschool Association was formed by a group of Cumnock and district parents on the 27th May 1975.
The first preschool session was held at the Cumnock Memorial Hall on 16th July 1975. Two morning sessions were held each week. Cumnock Village Preschool owes its existence to the initiative, enthusiasm and organisational ability of the inaugural committee and the first teacher/director, Janet Atkinson. Janet taught for a total of eight years and provided many children with a happy and rewarding time at preschool.
Where we are today
The preschool is a community based not for profit organisation which is administered by a voluntary parent management committee. Their role is to work with the staff to ensure the efficient running of the service. All parents automatically become members of the preschool upon enrolment.
We believe in making preschool a wonderful experience for your child. During their time here they will form friendships, engage with interesting materials and equipment and learn skills that will encourage them to develop a love for learning.
